He remarried; his second wife was Henrietta Jentink (my grandmother) who was born October 12, 1848 and died December 11, 1911." of Abraham Eernisse The deceased was born January 17, 1827, in Zeeland, Netherlands, where he was married to Johanna DeZoute in 1847 and they came to America the same year. Seven children were born to them. Mr. Eernisse enlisted as a volunteer in Co.F, 27th Infy Reg. and attained the rank of Sergeant during his faithful service in the Civil War. In 1870 he was united in marriage to Henrietta Jentink and twelve children were born to them. His second wife also preceded him in death and twevle children are still living, also 44 grand children and 11 great grand children. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at the church at Gibbsville and internment took place in the Gibbsville cemetery. Further information we were unable to obtain.
