Marvin Hepworth quietly died on Oct 27, 2001 at home with family at his side.
Marvin Clarence Hepworth was born May 10, 1913 to Clarence J. and Rose Ellen Hepworth in Grover. He was one of ten children.
Marvin loved Star Valley and lived and worked here all his life. He learned the art of blacksmithing from his father and learned or taught himself to do carpentry, electrical work, plumbing and masonry, but most of all he loved farming.
He married Arvilla Griffeth in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 10, 1938 and to this union was born one son and four daughters. Mervin was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved teaching and serving in the church. He had a strong testimony and bore it often, but he taught best by example. He loved missionary and temple work and spent many years involved in both.
He is preceded in death by his son Gaylon.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Arvilla, daughters LaDawn Smith, Marilyn Draney, Christine Finnell and Gloria Draney, one brother Lael Hepworth, two sisters Zella Hunsaker and Della Thurman, 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
