More About John Porter Partin: Burial: September 1966, Fairview Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas252,253; Occupation: Farmer
Notes for Matalizzie Pauline "Mattie" Turner: In many records she is listed as the daughter of Sarah Elizabeth Altmire and James Madison Turner; but, Sarah Altmire and James Madison Turner did not marry until May of 1888 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. Matalizzie Pauline Turner was born April 6, 1888 a month before her father's marriage to Sarah Elizabeth Altmire.
From this it would seem that she was a child from James Madison Turner's first marriage and that her mother must have died during childbirth with her and James Madison married so soon after her mother's death because he had a baby that need a mother to take care of such a young baby.
